Spay and Neuter Assistance
Saved By Fate Dog Rescue is pleased to offer FREE spay and neuter assistance to Kentucky residents. Please read the following rules for our assistance program before applying. We look forward to assisting you with your dog's vet care needs!
Please note: WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW APPLICATIONS FOR ASSISTANCE. PLEASE CHECK BACK IN JANUARY 2025.
- Our assistance program is currently for dogs only.
- Applicants must be Kentucky residents.
- Applicants must be willing and able to transport their dog(s) to and from a vet clinic in Lexington, KY on the scheduled date of the surgery(s).
- Because we rely on the generosity and availability of our veterinary partners, applicants MUST give at least 48 hours notice if they are not able to make it to their scheduled appointment. No-shows will disqualify you from future assistance and may impact the ability for other Kentucky residents to receive assistance.
- Applicants are limited to assistance for 3 dogs max per household per year. If an applicant needs assistance with more than 3 dogs, they will need to contact the Saved By Fate Intake team at [email protected] first before applying.
- Applicants may be asked to explain the financial hardship that prevents them from affording to spay and neuter their pets themselves.
- Applications will be approved at the discretion of Saved By Fate Dog Rescue.
- Puppies are eligible for our program beginning at 12 weeks old.
- It is highly recommended that adult dogs have an exam and Heartworm Disease testing done by your primary veterinarian prior to the scheduled date of surgery. If a dog tests positive for Heartworm Disease on of before the scheduled date of surgery, he/she may not be eligible for surgery that day.
