You can still make a huge difference in a rescue dog's life by "financially fostering" or sponsoring their supplies and vet care while in foster care.
In general, caring for dogs with medical needs or litters of puppies are our biggest costs because they require the most vet care. If you financially foster a medical case or a puppy through adoption, your donation will help cover a portion of their expenses as they grow and thrive in their foster home. Puppies receive vaccinations at six, nine, and twelve weeks of age, treatment for parasites (de-wormer), and prevention for fleas and ticks in addition to being spayed/neutered and microchipped before adoption day. We also provide food (puppies eat a lot of food!), toys, training treats, puppy pee pads, and other supplies to our foster families. Saved By Fate Dog Rescue recoups only a portion of this expense on adoption day.
By choosing to sponsor a Saved By Fate Dog Rescue puppy or adult dog, you can help lift a portion of that financial weight. If you'd like to be, you can be put in contact with your sponsored dog's foster family. They can provide you with pictures and updates as the dog reaches different milestones. You will also have the option to have your name displayed within the dog's adoption profile!
Financially fostering a puppy may give you priority for adopting when the dog is ready. Saved By Fate Dog Rescue does give priority to the physical foster family first, and we do not ask them to make their decision until the puppy is closer to 8 weeks of age.
