Zig loves chasing toys, playing fetch, exploring the yard, and soaking up every minute he can spend in the grass. When playtime is over, he’s more than happy to curl up for cuddles with his favorite people. He’s a smart little guy, too! Zig already knows “sit” and “come,” is working on “stay” and “paw,” and absolutely lights up when you tell him he’s a good boy.
Like any puppy, Zig is still learning. He’s making great progress with potty training, using the bathroom outside while continuing to practice with pee pads (when they aren’t mistaken for chew toys!). He’ll also need plenty of durable chew toys to help redirect his very mouthy puppy play.
Zig has done well with an older dog and children, though a home with older kids is recommended while he works through the sharp puppy teeth stage. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate best friend who’s eager to learn and ready for adventure, Zig is waiting to meet you!
Zig is eligible for foster-to-adopt to applicants able to transport to/from Lexington, KY for his veterinary care on July 23rd.

A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the foster-to-adopt period.
