Ruger is ALL puppy, ALL the time! He loves playing, exploring, and being outside, smelling the world with his Beagle nose. He would do great in a forever home with a buddy to play with and burn off some of his energy. Ruger is sassy and a talker with an adorable "Awoooo," but he is not a frequent barker for no reason. He's usually trying to say something like a request to go out, play, or say you are prepping his meal too slowly.
In foster care, Ruger has proven to be super smart and is doing well with potty training (still having the occasional accident). He's getting much better at going to pee pads! Ruger is already learning to "Sit," "Spin," play fetch, and "Drop it". He sleeps perfectly in his crate all night without complaint. Ruger is still learning what he can and can't play with, and his foster mom is working hard to reduce mouthiness. He's made great improvements on leash walking but he will lay down if he doesn't want to go anymore. Did we mention he has epic side eye and he's full of expression?! He would love a yard where he could lay out in the sun. Overall, this spunky floppy-eared pup will surely bring smiles and many years of companionship and laughs because he has plenty of personality!
Ruger will complete his vet care (neuter, vaccines, microchip) on July 17th. His adoption fee has been partially sponsored and is now $150. If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP!
