Saying Dex is a lover boy is an understatement… His foster mom said whoever adopts him could not be asking for a better dog! Cuddles and kisses are what he is about.
Dexter would do best in a home with an easy-going female canine companion. He could also live with confident, dog-savvy cats. We believe we’d do best in a home with a fenced-in yard to run and burn energy. Dexter would also enjoy tagging along with a human who’s a jogger or runner. Evenings spent on the couch snoozing in your lap would suit him perfectly!
Dexter is estimated to be about 4 years old. In foster care, he’s working on his leash training and basic obedience. He knows “sit” very well and is learning to wait at an open door to not bolt out. Dexter is quiet and hardly barks! The only time he barks is when you come home and he is ready to get out of his crate. Dexter could potentially live in an apartment under the right circumstances. Homes with a 6 ft fence are preferred as he’s a fence hopper, but all applications will be considered.
