Devon is still learning how to “dog,” but he’s making incredible progress in foster care every single day. He’s doing well with potty training as long as he stays on a consistent schedule, and while he may take a few laps around the yard before getting down to business, accidents in the house have been very minimal. Crate training is also going great — he may protest for about 30 seconds, but then settles in nicely and relaxes.
This quirky boy is full of personality. Devon is playful, silly, energetic, and always ready to go! He absolutely loves running laps in the yard, so a fenced yard where he can safely stretch those speedy legs would be ideal. He’s fast, athletic, and happiest when he has room to zoom.
One thing we’ve learned about Devon is that he truly thrives with another dog around. Having canine friends in his foster home has helped him gain confidence, learn social skills, and come out of his shell tremendously. He would do best in a home with a friendly dog companion who can continue showing him the ropes. Size doesn’t matter much to Devon — he gets along well with dogs of all sizes as long as they aren’t overly pushy or “in his face.”
As for cats, Devon thinks they look like potential playmates and may try to chase them, so very dog-savvy cats would likely be best.
Devon has never met a stranger and is ready to bring laughter, energy, and endless entertainment to the lucky family who gives him a chance.
