Abby was recently saved from an overcrowded, rural KY animal shelter. She'll complete her vet care in mid-May but if you're interested in adopting, you can apply to foster-to-adopt Abby. We think she's a Lab x Border Collie mix, but we haven't done DNA testing on her. Abby is believed to be about a year old, but could be as old as 2. She's on the smaller/medium side and weighs around 40 lb. Abby is absolutely perfect with humans and rolls right over for you to pet her belly. She rides just fine in the car and would love to be your travel buddy. Abby knows some basic commands (Sit, Down, Paw) and does okay on leash. She's very smart and responds extremely well to strong human leadership.
Abby does well with most other dogs as long as she's allowed slow intros. We've noticed she has pretty high prey drive so we're guessing she won't cat test well, but we can always try. Kids 10+ would be best as sometimes she gets the zoomies and isn't very aware of where she's running.
