Terms & Conditions*
- Adopter agrees to pay the adoption fee prior to taking the cat home. This fee is non-refundable.
- Adopter agrees to provide a permanent, loving home for the cat for the duration of its life. Adopter agrees that if he/she cannot properly care for the animal, he/she will contact Saved By Fate Inc. at adoptions@savedbyfate.org. All pets adopted from Saved By Fate Inc. must be returned to Saved By Fate Inc. if the adoption does not work out.
- Adopter agrees to keep the cat indoors at all times and not allow it to roam outside.
- Adopter agrees to provide the cat with proper food, water, shelter, and veterinary care, including vaccinations and preventative care.
- Adopter agrees to register the microchip of the cat they've adopted within 14 days of contract signing. You can do so for free at freepetchipregistry.com.
- Kitten Adoptions Only: If the kitten you’ve adopted still needs another round(s) of FVRCP and/or a Rabies vaccine, Saved By Fate Inc. will cover the cost of these vaccines as long as our approved vet clinic, Woodstock Spay & Neuter Clinic (843 Lane Allen Rd in Lexington, KY), provides these services. Recommended vaccine schedule: 3 doses of FVRCP 3 weeks apart typically starting at 6 weeks of age, and Rabies typically at 12-16 weeks of age.
- Adopter agrees not to declaw the cat.
- Adopter agrees not to use the cat for medical experimentation, or any other purpose other than a companion animal. Adopter agrees not to harm or abuse the cat in any way.
- Adopter understands that Saved By Fate Inc. makes no guarantees or warranties regarding the cat's health, temperament, or behavior.
- Adopter agrees to hold Saved By Fate Inc. harmless from any liability for damages or injuries caused by the cat after the adoption. Adopter understands that animals are unpredictable and may cause damage or injury. Adopter agrees to be solely responsible for any actions of the cat after the adoption.
- Adopter understands that Saved By Fate Inc. may conduct a follow-up(s) interview to ensure the cat is being cared for properly.
