Meet Liz – your future House Hippo!
Liz is just under 2 years old and is the definition of sweet, squishy, and soulful. She came into the shelter with her two puppies, and while they were rescued quickly, Liz had to wait her turn. Now it’s her time to be chosen.
This chunky girl is thriving in her foster home and proving she’s basically a dream roommate. She lives peacefully with two other dogs (including a puppy she absolutely adores), three cats, two bunnies, and around 30 chickens. Liz is gentle and respectful with all of them. She gives a quick sniff and happily goes on her way. No drama. No chasing. Just vibes.
Liz is doing great with housetraining and will reliably use a puppy pad if she can’t make it outside. She’s learning house manners and is eager to please, but her favorite skill by far is professional-level couch snuggling. If you’re sitting down, she’s already planning how to join you. She’s calm, loving, and endlessly affectionate.
Liz doesn’t need chaos or constant action. She just wants a safe home, a soft couch, and people to love. If you’ve been looking for the perfect low-key cuddle buddy, Liz might just be your girl. The best house hippo, waiting patiently for her forever...

A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period.
