Scooby is a big, gentle goofball whose heart is even larger than his paws—ruh-roh! This sweet boy is happy 100% of the time, flashing his signature Scooby-Dooby-Doo smile to everyone he meets. Whether he fits or not (spoiler: he usually doesn’t), Scooby must cuddle. He’ll wiggle, smoosh, and nudge his way into your space until he’s close enough for maximum snuggles.
Scooby gets along with all creatures, big and small—even the family bunny! He’s polite with dogs, adorably submissive to older pups, and loves following the cats around… though the cats would probably give that two paws down. He’s also been fantastic with a 6-year-old in his foster home, showing a natural gentleness and never jumping on her.
This happy hound is fully potty trained and crate trained. He sleeps well in his crate and only lets out a quick “Roh?” if he hears people talking nearby. And the one time he was accidentally left out? Foster family came home to find him chilling like a king—just lounging on the bed without a care in the world.
Scooby loves to run, play, and zoom with his adorable tail nub wiggling at maximum speed! Because he’s a big boy with energy and lots of joy to burn, he’d thrive with a fenced-in yard where he can stretch those Scooby legs. He’s a quick learner, too—he can sit and give his paw, and if you stop petting him, he’ll politely remind you with a gentle little tap. Walking on a leash is still a work in progress, but he’s eager to please and improving every day.
Scooby would do great with almost any family, but because of his size, tiny kiddos might get Scooby-Dooby-bumped by accident. He’s affectionate, silly, loyal, and full of heart—everything you’d want in a best friend. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts cuddle buddy, playmate, and pure joy factory, Scooby is ready to say, “Scooby-Dooby-Doo… where are you?” (He’s right here, waiting for his forever family.)
Scooby has completed his vet care (neuter, vaccines, microchip) and is ready to meet his forever family. His adoption fee has been FULLY SPONSORED ($0). If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP!
A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period.
